Dr Kent Xiong is a caring and prevention‑focused general dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Wagga Wagga. A graduate of the University of Queensland (2023), Dr Xiong is passionate about delivering family‑centred dental care and supporting patients of all ages to maintain long‑term oral health. He is known for his thoughtful approach, clear communication, and genuine interest in his patients’ overall wellbeing.
Dr Xiong practises across general dentistry, with a strong focus on Preventive Dentistry and Family Dental Care.
He has a particular clinical interest in airway and sleep‑related issues, and how the teeth, jaws, and oral structures play a role in overall health, breathing, and sleep quality.
Since graduating in 2023, Dr Xiong has focused on providing comprehensive, prevention‑based dental care that can support a wide patient population. His approach centres on early intervention, patient education, and long‑term health outcomes.
Dr Xiong has completed advanced orthodontic training, including:
• UJI and IAADent Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Diploma (2025)
• IAADent Fundamental Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Course (2024)
He was also awarded First Place for Research in 2023 at the UQ School of Dentistry.
Dr Xiong has participated in providing healthcare in the rural Queensland town of Dalby through Goondir Health. He is keen to continue community‑focused work, including Filling the Gap initiatives and overseas pro‑bono dentistry to support underserved populations.
Dr Xiong enjoys working in a regional community where he can make a meaningful impact on patient health and build strong, long‑term relationships with individuals and families.
Outside of dentistry, Kent enjoys staying active through swimming and bushwalking, as well as travelling. He also likes to unwind by reading, drawing, and cooking.
Dr Xiong can speak four languages and is currently working on learning a fifth.
