With nearly 20 years of experience in the dental field, Dr Pooja Chandra is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist serving the community of Point Cook. Known for her expertise in complex procedures and her considerate, patient-first approach, Dr Chandra is dedicated to helping you feel confident and comfortable in their smile.
Dr Chandra specialises in complicated wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, clear invisible aligners including Invisalign. She has a keen interest in prosthodontics, crowns, endodontics, upper and lower molar treatments, and direct composite veneers, bringing a high level of skill and precision to even the most complex cases.
Dr Chandra graduated from Darshan Dental College, Udaipur, India, in 2011. Following graduation, she worked as an associate to a Pedodontist from 2011 to 2015, gaining invaluable clinical experience across a broad range of treatments. She migrated to Melbourne in 2015 and has been a valued member of the Pacific Smiles Dental team since 2022.
Dr Chandra has a strong ongoing interest in Clear Aligner therapy, staying current with the latest advances to deliver outstanding outcomes for patients seeking a straighter smile without traditional braces.
“I love the community here, and it is a bonus that I work close to home! These are warm, family-oriented communities, and I feel genuinely connected to the people I care for.”
Dr Chandra consults in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, making her practice an inclusive and welcoming space for patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside the clinic, Dr Chandra loves listening to Bollywood music, dancing, and spending quality time with her 18-month-old son.
Don’t let the gentle chairside manner fool you. Dr Chandra has a serious adventurous streak. She has gone skydiving and snorkelled in the open ocean, proving she’s equally at home chasing adrenaline as she is delivering precision dental care.
“Helping people feel genuinely comfortable and confident in their smile. I love getting to know families, watching kids grow up, and being a trusted part of their health journey. Those relationships are what make this work so meaningful.”
“Most people brush twice daily, but the how matters just as much as the when. Use a soft-bristled brush with gentle circular motions, take your time, and make sure you’re reaching the gumline, that’s where plaque loves to hide. And don’t skip flossing. It’s not about perfection, it’s about consistency.”
Book your appointment with Dr Pooja Chandra at Pacific Smiles Dental Point Cook today, and enjoy a relaxed, friendly dental experience with a dentist who truly loves what she does.
