About Dr Raveena Mapa

Dr Raveena Mapa is a General Dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Oakleigh with a passion for building lasting relationships with her patients and supporting them throughout their oral health journey.

Raveena graduated from La Trobe University in 2022 and has since gained experience across both private and public dentistry. She spent more than three years in private practice serving the Gippsland community and almost two years working in the public sector, with regional placements in Ballarat, Bendigo and Melton. Working across these diverse communities and settings has given her a broad clinical foundation and a strong appreciation for personalised, patient-centred care.

Raveena is passionate about making every patient feel heard, comfortable and supported. She takes the time to get to know her patients and understands that trust is built one visit at a time.

Raveena’s tip: Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth every day, limit frequent sugary snacks and drinks, and don’t wait until something hurts before seeing your dentist.

She is committed to ongoing professional development and continually expanding her clinical knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care.

Awards & Achievements

During her time at La Trobe University, Raveena was elected as the Australian Dental Students’ Association (ADSA) representative for La Trobe in 2018, where she enjoyed the opportunity to represent her fellow students and engage with the broader dental community.

Community Involvement

Raveena has a strong history of giving back to the community, having volunteered with the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, The Salvation Army and Villa Maria Catholic Homes (VMCH) Aged Care.

Life Beyond Dentistry

When she’s not caring for patients, Raveena loves baking and decorating cakes, reading and playing board games. Fun fact: she’s a huge cat person and will stop to say hello to every cat she sees.
