Meet Dr Amina Khurshid – General Dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Melton

Dr Amina Khurshid is a General Dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Melton with a caring, gentle approach and a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair.

Amina graduated from Riphah International University in 2015 with distinctions in Oral Biology, Pharmacology and Oral Pathology. She practised dentistry in Pakistan for three years, treating a wide range of patients and building a strong foundation in general dentistry, before relocating to Australia and successfully completing her Australian Dental Council examinations.

Areas of Interest

Dr Amina provides general dental care, with a particular interest in:

• General dentistry
• Helping patients overcome dental anxiety
• Preventative dental care
• Patient education and oral health awareness

One of the most rewarding parts of being a dentist for Amina is seeing a nervous patient leave feeling relaxed and smiling. Helping someone get out of pain or feel confident about their smile is what makes her work incredibly rewarding.

A Gentle & Reassuring Approach

Amina is recognised by her patients for her caring, gentle manner and consistently positive feedback. She takes the time to put anxious patients at ease and is committed to creating a supportive environment where every patient feels understood and well cared for.

Amina’s tip: Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth daily, limit sugary snacks and drinks, and visit your dentist regularly, even if nothing hurts!

Community Involvement

In Pakistan, Amina took part in dental camps held at schools and villages, providing oral health checks and educating children and families about caring for their teeth. She is keen to continue this kind of community work in Australia and contribute to oral health in her local area.

Life Beyond Dentistry

When she’s not caring for patients, Amina loves the outdoors, whether it’s hiking, staying active or exercising. She also enjoys music to help her unwind and recharge. Fun fact: she loves eating good, spicy food and is always keen to try new restaurants and places.
