Dr Amy Bachmann is a caring and motivated general dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Goulburn. She recently graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) at the end of 2025 and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through gentle, high‑quality dental care.
Dr Bachmann practises across general dentistry, with interests in Restorative, Preventive, and Therapeutic Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Extractions, Tooth Replacement Options, Mouth Guards, and Night Guards.
Her professional interests also include Nitrous Oxide and Surgical Extractions.
Throughout her studies, Dr Bachmann treated a broad range of patients in the public dental setting before joining the Pacific Smiles Group in Goulburn. Following graduation, she relocated to Goulburn to live with her partner and embrace the country lifestyle. She enjoys working with the diverse patient base, many of whom come from farming or rural backgrounds — something she relates to personally. She also values the strong sense of community and the short, albeit often cold, commute to work.
Dr Bachmann has received several academic and sporting recognitions, including:
• ADAVB (Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch) and La Trobe Third Year Dentistry Dux (2023)
• La Trobe Provost Commendation (2024, 2025)
• La Trobe University Sport Half Blues and Academic Award (2022, 2025)
Outside of dentistry, Amy spends much of her time with her three horses. She is an experienced dressage rider who has trained and competed multiple horses at Grand Prix level. When not riding, she enjoys running, going to the gym, and has even completed the occasional half marathon. Amy also enjoys coaching dressage and regularly travels back to Victoria to coach her students.
Dr Bachmann has competed on Australian Ninja Warrior and holds a world ranking as a dressage rider.
Making a difference in people’s lives — whether that’s helping them finally feel comfortable in the dental chair, getting them out of pain, or restoring a smile they thought was gone forever. She especially values building long‑term relationships with patients and their families over many years.
Save carbonated drinks for special occasions and stick to water or milk on an everyday basis. And remember — you can’t “out‑brush” not flossing.
