Dr Zaeba Gani is a General Dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Glen Iris with a passion for forming lasting relationships with her patients and helping them smile with confidence.
Zaeba graduated from The Oxford Dental College, Bangalore, in 2016 and built broad clinical experience in India, including leading a multi-dentist clinic. After moving to Melbourne in 2022, she completed a Master of Public Health (Health Policy) at Monash University and gained further experience working in Australian dental practices before completing her Australian Dental Council examinations and receiving general registration with the Dental Board of Australia in 2026. She also holds advanced training in rotary endodontics and fixed prosthodontics through the Academy of Advanced Endodontics, India.
Dr Zaeba provides general dental care, with a particular interest in:
One of the most rewarding parts of being a dentist for Zaeba is giving patients the confidence to smile again, whether their teeth have been affected by wear, decay, developmental changes or simply the passage of time. Seeing the joy and relief on a patient’s face after treatment is what drives her to keep learning and improving every day.
Zaeba takes the time to explain what she sees, the treatment options available, and the risks and costs involved, so patients can make informed decisions without feeling rushed. She values getting to know her patients as people, not just patients, and takes pride in building long-term relationships that grow over time.
Zaeba’s tip: Brush twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste, then spit rather than rinse so the fluoride keeps working. Keep sugary food and drinks to mealtimes rather than grazing through the day, and choose tap water.
Zaeba volunteered at free rural dental camps in Kerala, India, between 2017 and 2019, providing screenings, oral hygiene education and referrals. She also served as a peer mentor at Monash University, supporting new postgraduate students during 2022 and 2023.
When she’s not caring for patients, Zaeba enjoys staying active at the gym, hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Fun fact: she first joined Pacific Smiles in 2022 as a dental assistant and receptionist, so returning as a dentist feels like coming full circle.
