Dr Swetha Uppala is a compassionate and patient‑centred general dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Belconnen. Graduating in 2014, Dr Uppala is passionate about delivering pain‑free dentistry and helping patients regain confidence so they can live comfortably and smile with ease. She is dedicated to creating a calm, supportive environment where every patient feels heard, cared for, and empowered about their oral health.
Dr Uppala practises across general dentistry, providing comprehensive care with a strong focus on patient comfort and long‑term oral health outcomes.
Her clinical interests include pain‑free dentistry and restorative and endodontic care that supports comfort, function, and lasting results.
Dr Uppala completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery through NTR University of Health Sciences in 2014. She has undertaken further dental coursework and training at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, completed training through the IOM, Hong Kong, and holds a Fellowship in General Dentistry as well as a Fellowship in Clinical Endodontics. Her approach centres on clear communication, gentle treatment, and personalised care.
Dr Uppala was awarded First Place for a university paper presentation on biofilms, recognised for excellence in research and scientific communication.
She has participated in overseas volunteer dental programs, providing essential oral health care and education to underserved communities.
Dr Uppala enjoys working in a diverse community where she can build trust, support preventive care, and form long‑term relationships with her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Swetha loves spending quality time with her twins, especially colouring and sketching together — an activity that fuels her creativity both at home and in practice.
Dr Uppala loves the idea of regular gym workouts but jokes that keeping up with her twins is already a full‑time fitness routine. She also has a soft spot for chocolate — while reminding patients to rinse with water afterwards!
Seeing patients leave with a genuine smile after treatment and knowing they trust her enough to return for ongoing care.
Stay well hydrated — it’s great for your teeth and your overall health.
